Actually i played it in stealth the whole game infact i used to stay close to my level. I accepted only the quest i can easily kill any guards with my hidden blade(you have of course to upgrade it). But i understand your concern because i hate the level in an assassin's creed, i mean they could improve the fight situation and not put that level.

Being able to fight groups of enemies and even parry attacks with just a hidden blade makes it too game-breaking and OP.
