Hi everyone im kinda new to this and want to say hi to all I own a 2005 ford focus mk2 1.6 tdci and have an oil leak on the top of my engine around the injectors which is leaking down the right side of my engine making a mess of my air filter box and everything in that way. The code for the 90bhp turbo and the 109bhp is different so it might have a different blade for example.I picked up a Focus brochure from the local stealers the other day, only just had chance to flip though it. in the engine data page it says the 1.6 & 2.0 TDCI's are 16v, DOHC, alloy cylinder head & block. Posted January 7, 2022. I purchased a Mk5 Mondeo in April 2015 through a main Ford dealership with about 40,000 miles on the clock. It was serviced at the time of sale and since then I have done approximately 3000 miles. Just before Christmas the ' service oil soon light' came on. I've seen Ford Formula F 5W30 recommended by some, but others says it's not a low SAPS oil so shouldn't be used with the Mk2.5 with the DPF, and it's a little harder to come by. The owner's manual I've got says I can use an alternative SAE 5W-30 oil providing it meets WSS-M2C913-B.
The only real way to deal with the engine breather oil is to fit an "oil catch can" and completely remove the oil from the air intake system. This would also help clean up your engines intake system and improve emissions etc. Sadly, am not aware of any bespoke kits for the Focus.or for the 1.6 TD PSA engine at all.
