5. Gender: Male. Bike (s): Honda PCX 125. Posted February 2, 2021. Hello everyone. I have a Honda PCX 125 and it's 4 years old with just 5k miles. No problems at all until today. It starts fine and goes fine but every time I twist throttle more than a little it cuts out as though it has stalled, splutters a bit but then starts again on button ok.
To me, if it meets the minimum requirements Honda recommends, and it is synthetic, it should be fine. The key is changing it . If you don't change it, your engine is screwed. I have read that synthetic oil can go 7,500 miles between changes, but I stick to the 3,000 mile rule for peace of mind.
